Kelela Shares Infectious New Single "Rewind" + Confirms 'Hallucinogen' EP Will Drop Next Month

I imagine Kelela fans have been waiting for this day for some time now, when an official word on her forthcoming, long-in-the-works Hallucinogen EP would finally drop. Well, dear friends, it appears that day is upon us, as the lovely lilt that captivated us on her Cut 4 Me tape has released the latest single from the project; an infectious, dance-floor anthem in "Rewind,"which features production from Kingdom, Nugget, Obey City and GIRL UNIT.  The track moves swiftly and with force as Kelz laments the futility of time while a synth-heavy, four-to-the-floor groove floods in and takes hold. Kelela's forthcoming (and chronically delayed) Hallucinogen EP is now officially slated for an October 9th release via Cherry Coffee/Warp and can be preordered on iTunes today ahead of the drop, which is already more assuring than the last time we heard the record was en route.
