Kanye West's 'Famous' Sculptures To Be Sold For $4 Million

Kanye West's First Gallery Exhibit Featured His "Famous" Wax Figures

UPDATE: A rep for West has denied that the wax figures from "Famous" are for sale. "We are incredibly flattered that a number is being reported but at no point have we ever disclosed a sale price for the piece," the rep told Rolling Stone. "As far as Mr. West is concerned - it's all about the art. We are looking forward to announcing when Famous will be available again for viewing."

The wax figures used in Kanye West's "Famous" music video can be yours for only $4 million.

That's right — The New York Times reports that the models of West, Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, RihannaBill Cosby, Caitlyn Jenner, and others are now available for purchase from the Blum & Poe gallery in Los Angeles.

The gallery had originally displayed the nude facsimiles, but are now looking to sell them along with the bedding they're laid down in and the series of 9-volt batteries used to make them "breathe."

So, why the seven figure price tag? Well, apparently it took West's creative collective DONDA about four months of animation modeling, 3D scanning, stylist consulting and Instagram searches to make the models look as accurate as possible. Turns out that each animatronic body was hand sculpted down to the freckles and hair, so it's understandable why the piece is as expensive as it is.

As for the "Famous" gallery show the exhibit only lasted a weekend, with West wanting the models to be displayed somewhere on a whim.

"Kanye suddenly felt the urge to show the work," Mr. Blum of Blum & Poe told The New York Times. "Long story short, we made it happen. We pushed some things around and five days later, we had a show. Monday hey, Friday open."

Kanye has been keeping busy this month, having begun his Saint Pablo tour. The performances so far have been well received, primarily because of the fact that The Life Of Pablo mastermind is performing on a stage that floats above the audience.

He was also a part of this year's MTV Video Music Awards where, with his allotted four minutes to do whatever he wanted, premiered the music video for "Fade."

If you find yourself with $4 million and trying to spice up your personal art display, maybe wax models of naked celebrities laying in a bed together is what you need.
