Jessie Ware Delivers A Powerful New Ballad w/ "Pieces"
Jessie Ware keeps the hits coming with the release of "Pieces," the latest single to drops from her forthcoming Tough Love LP. Laced with deep string arrangements and a poppy pocket, Ware soars over the tender cut in an all pro display of vocal prowess, cementing herself as one of the year's most impressive entries into the UK's fully-flowered r&b scene (seriously, what are they putting in the water over there?)
With an A-list roster of collaborators, the lilting Londoner stays on her course of redefining the pop spectrum as we know it, building intricate jones-soaked ballads with some of the left-field's foremost pioneers i.e. Dev Hynes, Miguel, Emile Hayne and so many more. If you need any more sonics to back up the hype, put your ears to the warm 8-bit waltz of "Kind Of, Sometimes, Maybe" or the electric strut of "Want Your Feeling." Needless to say, her sophomore record Tough Love has had us teeming with excitement for a record that's making a run for early superlatives. We won't have to wait much longer though, as the album drops October 21st on Island Records and can be preordered via iTunes today. Listen to Jessie Ware's latest single "Pieces" below.
