Jeff Goldblum Releasing A Jazz Album Might Be Everything We Never Knew We Needed

Jeff Goldblum is pivoting to piano.

The actor known for his leading "Jurassic Park" role, his fly outfits, and overall wavy demeanor, is slated to release a jazz piano album under Universal Music Group's classical label Decca Records.

The label signed the 65-year-old after reps caught his performance with Gregory Porter on the "Graham Norton Show."

“Everyone loves Jeff Goldblum. It’s like a universal truth," Decca Records head of A&R, Tom Lewis said in a press statement. "He’s a fantastic jazz pianist, a great band leader and just about the loveliest man in the world. His love of jazz is infectious and whenever he plays he makes you feel very happy."

Goldblum said that he's “so happy” with the signing, and called Decca "one of the coolest and most prestigious labels of all time."

Goldblum apparently learned to play piano at a young age and continued to hone his skills in Pittsburgh cocktail lounges as a teen. He's also performed with his jazz band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, since the '90s and hosts a jazz variety show at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Angeles. Not to mention, there's also that one time he played piano in a random Super Bowl 50 commercial with Lil Wayne.

The album is slated to coincide with Glodblum's return to Jurassic Park in Fallen Kingdom, and his upcoming role in Hotel Artemis alongside Jodie Foster.

Until that drops, enjoy this #tbt of Goldblum blessing the keys:
