Janelle Monae & Jidenna Take "Yoga" To The Club
The last few months have been riddled with murmurs from the Wondaland camp. We were first introduced to the ATL camp’s “Classic Man” with the unveiling of their new star Jidenna and the forthcoming posse compilation Eephus all in one fell swoop, cementing the collective’s label status in partnership with LA Reid and Epic Records. Then, just last week, came the declaration of their mission statement on Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning by leading (electric) lady and figurehead Janelle Monáe, empowering artists through their brand and future swag aesthetic.
And now, we have another forward-minded cut from the anxiously anticipated compilation in “Yoga,” a trap-set, club-ready cut from Jidenna and The Funky Android that will surely find a home on both major airwaves and your personal rotation. Eephus will be landing May 5th on eager ears worldwide and judging from the reaction of a select few Okayplayers who sat in on the listening party last week, the Wondaland crew is sitting on some flame. Keep your eyes peeled for a steamy video and preorder links for the album to follow. Listen to Janelle Monáe & Jidenna's “Yoga”
