Gregory Porter - "Liquid Spirit" [Official Video] + Fall Tour Dates

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Gregory Porter delivers the official video for "Liquid Spirit" - the title track from his forthcoming Blue Note debut - directed by his brother Lloyd Porter. The video for the project slated to drop on September 17th is a study in the juking backwater blues and gospel that later gave birth to jazz. The project contains 14 tracks and features 11 original cuts rich with Porter's slice-of-life writing. "Liquid Spirit" was written to counter "Bling Bling" from his Be Good LP - a track that decries a barren landscape facing artists rich with talent who face a populace of largely indifferent and arguably brainwashed consumers. Porter champions quality over quantity on the rousing stomp, which turns into a communal call for rain to quench their collective thirst. Watch the video for "Liquid Spirit" below.
