Ghostface Killah - "Murder Spree" [Apollo Brown Remix] f/ Masta Killa, U-God, Killa Sin & INS Deck

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

These days the Ghostface Killah goodies keep coming like Halloween feel on a weekend--today the fishscale fiend drops the Apollo Brown version of "Murder Spree" featuring Masta Killa, U-God, Killa Sin and Inspectah Deck AKA The Rebel INS. --that's 12 Reasons To Die track we caught a tease of in this making-of trailer for the deluxe box set edition, but worked over by 'Pollo for the special cassette-only Brown Tape remix album he and Ghostface are dropping for Record Store Day, to be clear (that's clear right?). Lyrically speaking, this is the track where they take Cutty Ranks at his word, kicking off with "12 reasons to die, six million ways to do it/ Let's go through it..." and then proceeding to list all 6 million, give or take 100 thou: "saran wrapping your face / Buried alive, throw a few nails in a case...cyanide in your drink / catch a Cuban neck-tie for your mink..." and so forth. Technically, I think that's a Colombian neck tie but hey, it's mafioso rap at its finest and Apollo brings exactly the 78rpm dusty Detroit soul stylings you want o hear underneath. Press play and cop 12 Reasons To Die in it's original flavor here (via iTunes).
