Dwele drive the future single promo video
One of Hitsvilles finest contemporary crooners and advocates of the D's still burgeoning soul Dwele drops "Drive The Future," a single released along with a promotional video for the campaign to launch his community action initiative of the same name, which he's spearheading for his city. The initiative was established to encourage children in less than affluent neighborhoods to engage in the creative process, through which he is sure they can uplift themselves, no matter how dire the circumstance. Though the program clearly encourages activity in all facets of the arts, Dwele is putting in work in the classroom with students looking to get familiar with producing music and the various means of doing so.
Being from a family chock-full-of teachers, Dwele was compelled to enter the classroom to show kids where the singularity of the creative and educational processes meet by explaining to them the importance of the two in everything they do. So in a way, the effort is meant to nurture whatever creative aspirations these kids already had, as well as plant the seed so that they can begin to explore the musical process in the same way he did at a young age. Its been a minute since we've heard anything from one of the D's best, but Dwele doesn't seem to have lost a step with "Drive The Future." It's that Detroit swing underneath a noble thump and dreamy Rhodes accents that we've all come to know and love.
