DJ Premier Flips Desiigner's "Timmy Turner" w/ 'South Park' Sample

UPDATE: Move along. Nothing to see here.

Say what you will about the talents of Desiigner, the 19-year-old Bed-Stuy-native was the spark that lit the true-school keg, sending “heads” for the hills condemning their once-beloved culture for failing to pay proper respects to the architects. That’s probably a topic better saved for larger graphs, but Desiigner’s second single “Timmy Turner” only added fuel to that fire after being teased in XXL Freshman freestyle,” completed in what was likely a rush to appease demand sparked by a teaser of Desiigner working on the track in Mike Dean‘s studio.

The internet had plenty to say. Producers blitzed the track with remixes in an attempt to capitalize. But one producer has just added his take to the hat, never to be rushed. Moments ago the legendary DJ Premier unleashed his own not-so-subtle jab at the teenage rapper with a remix if “Timmy Turner” that samples a South Park soundbite of their mentally and physically handicapped, Timmy. We won’t call it a “shots fired” situation just yet, but it does seem there’s some shade built in (and it knocks too.) Hear it down below and let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Desiigner’s debut mixtape New English is out now.
