Dev Hynes Talks Synesthesia, NYC Living And More
Dev Hynes has been pretty candid when it comes to being afflicted/effected by synesthesia, a neurological condition that correlates particular sounds with particular colors. A miraculously open conversation in a segment for Ray-Ban's The Order Of Never Hide finds Hynes waxing on everything from how the condition has effected him (for better or worse) to his Essex upbringing to why he calls NYC his home today. The video provides ample insight into the colorful mind of Hynes, how particular melodies or notes trigger those colorful dreamscapes and how its something he is immersed in without choice.
