Danity Kane Alleges Diddy, Donald Trump, and Jimmy Iovine Made Sexist & Racist Comments

Danity Kane is back and telling all.

In a new, candid interview with Cosmopolitanthe remaining members of the former Bad Boy girl group Danity Kane revealed their experiences with racism and sexism in the music industry.

Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex called out Diddy, Donald Trump, and Interscope Records founder Jimmy Iovine for alleged sexist and racist comments in the past.

Danity Kane was formed on Diddy’s 2005 MTV reality show Making The Band. The group would be disbanded before Dawn Richard went on to perform with another artist, Kalenna Harper, alongside Diddy as the group Diddy-Dirty Money.  During the show, when firing Aubrey O' Day from the group, Diddy used the word "promiscuous" during his explanation for the decision.

"Jimmy Iovine told Kalenna and I to our face, he looked at Puff and said, 'Why don't you have two light skinned girls?'" Richard said in the interview. "In front of a boardroom of fifty people." She continued, "He said, 'These girls are too ugly. I don't get it. What are you trying to do with this?'"

Harper said Diddy supported her, saying, "I personally was encouraged from Puff, verbally, to never change what I looked like. There were people that thought Dirty Money was a reach. I heard through the grapevine that Puff was being asked why he didn't use Cassie, etc. But Puff insisted on the sound matching the look."

At one point O'Day talked about her time on the Celebrity Apprentice, saying, "I remember maybe the fourth or fifth episode, two producers came over to me and said, ‘Aubrey, you’re the youngest one we’ve had here. You’re running circles around everyone. Nobody thought you’d do this well, but Trump thinks you’re ugly.'”

O’Day, Richards and Bex say neither Iovine, Diddy nor Trump have apologized for the past comments.

At one point O'Day says. "Imagine had Diddy just encouraged us to be our greatest selves at that time... Imagine had he made us believe in it at that age, what we could be right now."

Danity Kane has reunited without two of the group's original members, D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres, and is currently on their "The Universe Is Undefeated" reunion tour.
