Fans have been scooping up A Tribe Called Quest merchandise this weekend to celebrate the release of their fifth and final album, and soon, they can get their hands on a new FILA sneaker commemorating the group.

The Tribe x Cons 20 FILA FX-100 uses the signature black, red and green colorway used on ATCQ album covers.Consequenceshowed off the kicks at the new ATCQ pop-up shop in New York City, which opened on Friday for fans to buy clothing and physical copies of the new albumWe got it from Here Thank You 4 Your service. (Fans can also buy bundle packages of the merch at ATCQ's web shop.)

Consequence said the idea came from the anniversary of Beats, Rhymes and Life. He has had the shoes for a month, but held off to rock them with the release of the new album.

"I spoke to my guy Sean Lynch over at FILA. I went to an event they had at Stadium Goods," he said in an interview with Sole Collector. "And I knew we had the anniversary coming up of Beats, Rhymes and Life, so we talked about doing it. Then I got with my guy Anthony Quezada and we started the initial outline sketches together. I got that over to FILA, we went through a few drafts and got to a final product that I was happy with."

This upcoming FILA release isn't the only sneaker that has commemorated A Tribe Called Quest. In 2009, Nike Air Jordan released a coveted pair of Air Jordan 1's inspired by the cover of Tribe's iconic 1993 album Midnight Marauders, complete with two t-shirts to accompany the shoes.

The Tribe x Cons 20 FILA FX-100 doesn't have a confirmed release date, but Sole Collector reports that a limited run will be available to the public.
