And Now, Childish Gambino Rapping Over The 'Stranger Things' Theme
If there is anything more 2016 than Donald Glover (sometimes known as Childish Gambino) and Stranger Things, we simply haven't seen or heard it yet. Suppose there's still time for something to surface and dethrone them, but it's been hard to go more than a few days without mention of either (or both) on your timelines, and with just a few more months left, it seems highly-unlikely.
Naturally, the two meet today courtesy of producer kmlkmljkl by way of a surprisingly intriguing new mash-up that throws Bino's "Bonfire" over the breakout Netflix series' theme (originally created by Survive's Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.) And I'll be damned if it doesn't make for a fitting pair. So if you've been holding out for something new from Bino as Atlanta rages on and redefines episodic comedy TV, this could be your next best thing. Specially as there's still no word on when his new Pharos project will arrive.
Hear Childish Gambino's "Bonfire" get the synth-y Stranger Things treatment down below. If you missed last night's episode of Atlantahead over to FX and catch up on another can't-miss installment of Glover's hit series.
