Blood Orange AKA Dev Hynes has proven himself unstoppable ever since his second LP Cupid Deluxe was released late last year. So much so that even a massive fire can't slow him down. The singer, guitarist and producer has been touring heavily with a full band in support of the record, bringing Blood Orange's brand of pastel-filtered funk to fans on both sides of the Atlantic.

Last month Dev stopped by London's 100 Club for a special performance put on by Converse and things got nasty. "You're Not Good Enough," the second single off Cupid Deluxe got a fierce uptempo treatment at the show, thanks in large part to the talented cast of players that Hynes has surrounded himself with. The show's smouldering chemistry was amplified even further by the fact that Samantha Urbani, Hynes's girlfriend and frequent collaborator, shared onstage vocal duties with Dev.

The track glides with silky-smooth bass fills, tight guitar lines, and a perfect acapella break amidst the roof-raising funk. Live, Blood Orange has started to bring a sound that feels about halfway between Minneapolis and The Bahamas' famous Compass Point studios--imagine Sheila E., Nile Rodgers and Grace Jones sharing a spliff in an unheard outtake and you get the idea. By the time the closing sax melody arrives it's easy to listen with your eyes closed and picture an open highway half-lit by the sunset. But that would mean missing out on Hynes's signature serpentine dance movies, which make the video worth watching all on their own. Scope the performance here:
