Watch Kanye Rehearse a Career-Spanning Set with Kid Cudi, 070 Shake, and a Massive Gospel Choir
The best of Kanye, new or old.
Yesterday, Billboard reported that Kanye West pulled out of his headlining slot at Coachella after organizers refused to erect a dome on the festival grounds to house his performance. And while the prospect of seeing West onstage this festival season is seeming less likely by the day, the Chicago rapper appears to have an ace set on deck should someone build him the giant structure of his dreams.
Stitched together from clips posted to Kim Kardashian's Instagram story earlier this week, a 14-minute supercut has surfaced of West, Kid Cudi, 070 Shake, Tony Williams, and a massive gospel choir, rehearsing career-spanning hits from the rapper's catalog (and could very well warrant the construction of that damn dome.) With the rapturous swell of the choir and a full band in tow, the G.O.O.D. Music trio breezes through what could be a glimpse at West's plans for the festival circuit, performing selections from Late Registration, The Life of Pablo, and ye, with arrangements reminiscent of Late Orchestration.
You can watch Kanye, Kid Cudi, and 070 Shake, rehearse their "church service" set with a gospel choir below. Hold tight for updates on Kanye's dwindling festival season prospects.
