The Internet's 20-year-old axeman has announced his full-length solo debut.

Steve Lacy is readying his debut studio album. The Internet's axman announced his solo outing via Instagram, but detailed the project in a recent cover story for i-D.

Lacy tells i-D that he began recording the album (still untitled) nearly two years ago. When his sister moved away to college, Lacy transformed her room into a studio. And when The Internet finally took a moment to breathe from a marathon of touring locally and abroad, Lacy locked in and recorded for a month and a half straight.

Steve Lacy's debut studio album is set for a May 24th release. It'll follow a solo project from bandmate, Matt Martians, whose sophomore breakout, The Last Party, was released last month as the first of three promised standalone projects from The Internet collective. No word on who will be delivering the final piece (my guess: Syd.)

Hear Steve Lacy's lead single, "N Side," below and hold tight for his next transmission.
