Pink Sweat$ Kicks off Sound Society Concert Series w/ Frank Conversation, Intimate Performance [Recap]
“You will become a better songwriter once your heart is broken. My heart was broken and then I started making music.”
On Wednesday, June 26th, Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Sound Society returned to Los Angeles to kick off their celebration of bold and fearless musicians of a new generation.
Sound Society took a dive into what Fearless means, building a temporal and immersive world that, for one night only, took fans inside the singular story of singer and songwriter Pink Sweat$. Upon arrival, attendees were encouraged to travel through a series of pink installations: the Wall of Fearlessness, Fearless Studio, and Fearless Love Lounge.
We learned more about Pink Sweat$’ journey in the Fearless Studio. Attendees also faced some of their own on the Wall of Fearlessness, where people were encouraged to put a sharpie to wall and unveil their biggest fears.
After making way through every segment, guests were then transported into The Fearless Stage, where Pink Sweat$ unveiled his own fears. “Love and losing my teeth are two things I am afraid of. That’s my nightmares.”In the candid conversation he also talked about his upbringing, conquering fear and his approach to creativity. The first line of his hit song “Honesty” is ” She said, ‘baby, I’m afraid to fall in love ’cause what if it’s not reciprocated?'”
