The legend returns.
Missy Elliott graces the cover of the August 2019 issue of Marie Claire
In the interview, the iconic rapper reveals details about her forthcoming seventh studio album and opens up about how she wants to be remembered.
Though Missy has continued to make music moments— including her spic 2015 Superbowl performance— it’s been 14 years since she released her last album, The Cookbook. At one point in the interview, Missy describes the new album saying, “it’s time to make street dudes enjoy dancing again, like in the days of Soul Train,” adding, “It’s okay… It’s not corny.”
