Madlib manager and Now-Again Records chief, Egon Alapatt, has announced the vinyl release of the producer's Bandana instrumentals.
Earlier this week, Alapatt shared a photo of a test pressing on Instagram (see below) with the caption, "You know what was sounding damn good on the Garrard at HQ this evening? The test press for Bandana’s instrumentals, that’s what."
Released in late June, the collaborative album with Freddie Gibbs marked the major label debut for both rapper and producer. It spent three weeks on Billboard's Rap Album chart (peaking at #21,) and featured appearances from a who's who of rap, including Pusha T, Yasiin Bey, Black Thought, Killer Mike and more.
No release date has been revealed just yet, but with Record Store Day's Black Friday installment just a few months away, there's at least the prospect of a nearing timeframe.
Until then, you can catch Madlib and Freddie Gibbs on tour, both together and separately, over the coming months. The former's making a handful of stops in Europe this month, joining Gibbs for shows in Amsterdam and Paris on October 28th and 30th, respectively.
