JAY-Z Will Be Performing "God Did" at the 2023 Grammy Awards

JAY-Z will perform alongside DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne and more during an all-star live performance of "God Did."

Looks like the rumors of JAY-Z appearing at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards have been confirmed. Variety has reported that the Brooklyn-bred emcee will perform with DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne and more for a live rendition of "God Did," which also features Rick Ross, John Legend and Fridayy.

The song, with appears on DJ Khaled's thirteenth studio album of the same title, is nominated for three awards, including Song of the Year. Jay-Z last attended the Grammy Awards in 2020 with wife and longtime collaborator Beyoncé, who is up for nine awards including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for Renaissance.

"God Did" will not be the only rap performance during the night, as the ceremony will also hold a 50th anniversary tribute to hip-hop, co-curated by Questlove. Those expected to perform during the segment are Big Boi, Busta Rhymes and Spliff Star, De La Soul, Missy Elliott, Future, GloRilla, Grandmaster Flash, Ice-T, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Nelly, Queen Latifah, Rakim, Too $hort and more.

Currently tied with Beyoncé for most Grammy nominations of all-time, Hov boasts 23 Grammy Awards in total. He last co-won a Grammy in 2022 with Kanye West for their "Jail" collaboration featured on Ye's 2021 LP Donda.

Hov's verse on "God Did" became a trending topic on social media upon the song's release last August, also being broken down in an MSNBC segment by news anchor Ari Melber.
