UPDATE: Nick Cannon responds to Eminem’s verse on Fat Joe’s song “Lord Above.”

Nick Cannon has responded to Eminem’s verse on “Lord Above” off of Fat Joe’s new album that dropped earlier today where the rapper attacked Cannon and Mariah Carey. On his Power 107 radio show, Nick Cannon Mornings, he said:

“We should change his name from Eminem to, like, Perocet. What’s the pill that old people take? We gon’ call him Cialis. Bring your walker, get out your wheelchair Eminem, and pop whatever you wanna pop. Should I respond back to this? It’s not worthy of a response.”

When his co-host jumped in and said Eminem is a legend, Cannon said he wasn’t. He even took to Instagram and continued roasting the Detroit rapper. Take a look at the video below.

The Detroit rapper unearths old issues with Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey on Fat Joe’s new album Family Ties.

Eminem resurrects the beef between Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey and himself with his new feature on Fat Joe’s latest album Family Ties.

On the track titled “Lord Above” featuring Mary J. Blige, Eminem addresses long going issues with Cannon and the chart-topping singer Carey. The last mention of the problems the trio have been experiencing was in a September 2019 interview between Cannon and T.I. on the rapper’s ExpediTIously podcast. On the episode, he mentions he “went looking” for Eminem following a diss from the rapper. He said, “I called managers…I gotta show my wife I’m a man. I said, ‘I know I’m not gonna be able to out rap you but I will whoop your ass.’ Those were the exact words at the time. Cooler heads prevailed.”

In “Lord Above,” the Detroit artist rapped:

“Word to the Terror Squad, Joe, this is all puns aside though/I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note/But that other dude’s whipped, that pussy got him neutered/Tried to tell him this chick’s a nut job before he got his jewels clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon’ do shit/I let her chop my balls off, too ‘fore I lost to you, Nick.”

This is far from the first time he has dissed Cannon or Mariah, back in 2009 he expressed his thoughts on Cannon on the song “Warning.” Over the years he has also released other tracks like “Bagpipes From Baghdad” addressing their beef. Carey’s 2009 song “Obsessed” and specific lines in it including, “You’re delusional, boy, you’re losing your mind,” were one way she shot back at the rapper in the past.

Family Ties dropped Friday, December 6 and features appearances from Remy Ma, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign and more.
