The new single is a part of her self-curated Golden Hour playlist.
Baby Rose has unleashed “Marmot,” her latest single. The D.C. native is still on a high following her appearance on the soundtrack of HBO’s popular series, Insecure.
The newest track is a part of her Golden Hour playlist which consists of her most recent singles including “Mortal,” “Artifacts,” “Show You” and “Pressure.” Throughout the track, she sticks to her signature sound.
“Marmot” explores yearning for one more moment with someone that was an unrequited lover. It expresses her thoughts on finding her own way while wondering if she should have left her beau. In the track, she emotionally recalls what it feels like to want more.
In recent months despite quarantine and social distancing, Baby Rose has managed to keep her unique voice center stage. Back in June, she performed during an NPR Tiny Desk set at her home. She debuted “Marmot” and shared two other popular tracks with viewers. Her raw voice was captured perfectly during this emotionally riveting set.
Just five months ago she took to NPR’s headquarters and gave a soul-filled concert. If you’re a stan you were enamored by her sheer ability to make you feel as though you were the only one watching he perform from your laptop screen or phone screen.
Baby Rose shines when she’s touching on love lost, heartbreak, and reflecting on past relationships. Her riveting debut album To Myself back in 2019. We’ll be patiently waiting for what’s next from the singer-songwriter.
