Jake Paul shared his reaction to Druski ’s viral comedy sketch, where the Black content creator dressed as a conservative white woman, which sparked criticism from right-leaning commentators. Content creator-turned-boxer Paul says he now wants to do a sketch in blackface in response to Druski’s video. Paul made the comments on an episode of This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von. In the conversation, the pair discussed Druski’s skit, which featured the content creator parodying conservative women like Charlie Kirk’s widow, Turning Point USA president, Erika Kirk.
“Honestly, it's f**king hilarious. I loved it,” Paul admitted. “I'm obviously Republican and all the Republicans being mad about this sh*t is like a f**king L for Republicans because this is f**king hilarious. And even though it's f**king dark and twisted, this is what comedy f**king is — that we are f**king humans. Let’s make fun of ourselves, and there’s truth in this. An extreme truth, and people weren’t ready for that.”
Paul then claimed he was looking for a makeup artist for his own sketch.
“I want to ask you something because I've been, over the last couple of days, calling makeup artists and I was going to do a response to this [Druski’s video] and like go and do like the full on,” Paul said. When Von asked, “Darker?” Paul confirmed.
“And do it and just do it back, because why not?” Paul said. “Like, are we on the same playing field?”
He went on to say that comedy should deal in “truth.”
“We should f**king make fun of each other,” he continued. “And I don't see in color, I see in truth and comedy. So like, what are we talking about? What era are we living in?”
