J. Cole made a highly-anticipated appearance on Cam’ron’s interview show Talk With Flee to address their issues — specifically, the lawsuit Cam filed against Cole back in October — but also to address his current relationships with Drake and Kendrick Lamar in the aftermath of their 2025 battle.
In regards to the lawsuit, Cole admitted he was taken aback by it.
“I was like hurt, almost disappointed,” he told Cam’ron. “Like, ‘Nah, Cam, not you.'”
Elsewhere in the interview, Cole was asked if things went too far during Drake and Kendrick’s feuding. Cole revealed that he was initially impressed with Kendrick’s verse on Future’s “Like That,” before he realized it could lead to issues.
"My second reaction is like 'No, n***a," Cole said. "This is inconvenient for me."
Cole had just come off of a tour with Drake and collaborated with K.Dot. He also stated that the feuding led to a divisiveness that he wasn’t a fan of.
“Right away, the world became like politics,” Cole said. “You either Democrat or Republican, you either Kendrick or you Drake, and you have to pick a side. And I felt like the n—a that was disgusted both ways, damn near. To me, it’s like disgusting how people try to use that opportunity to either show how they really felt about Drake the whole time or just pile on and tear this dude down and create a narrative as if he’s not great.”
