'The Eric Andre Show' Announces Season Five Premiere Date

Adult Swim puts a date on the next chapter of The Eric Andre Show.

Following a four-year hiatus, The Eric Andre Show is set to return to Adult Swim next month.

An announcement came by way of the network's Instagram account earlier this week (see below,) revealing the show's fifth season will premiere at midnight on October 25th with a batch of photos to preview from the upcoming installation. According to a press release, co-host Hannibal Buress will be also be returning. However, the press release notes the new season captures him quitting the show, only to be replaced by his clone, "Blannibal." The new season will also feature guest appearances from Lakeith Stanfield, Luis Guzman, and Filipe Esparza.

Though the show's last official transmission arrived way back in 2016, the years since have seen Andre appearing in various breakouts, in which he visited both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. He also interviewed an assortment of Instagram models in another string of specials. Earlier this year, his debut stand-up special, Legalize Everything, premiered on Netflix, and in the coming months, he'll star in the hidden camera prank film, Bad Trip, alongside Tiffany Haddish and Lil Rel. The film was initially slated to arrive in theaters on April 17th, but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Netflix has stepped in to distribute Bad Trip, but has yet to announce a release date.
