Rick Ross, 2 Chainz Set to Face Off in "High Rollers" Verzuz Battle

The latest edition of Verzuz is set for August 6 at 8 PM.

The next round of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland's Verzuz series has been set. On Tuesday afternoon, The official Verzuz Twitter account dropped the news. Rick Ross and 2 Chainz are due to square off next Thursday, August 6 at 8 PM.

The battle will be available to watch on Instagram TV and Apple Music. Last Wednesday, DMX and Snoop Dogg faced off in the first battle since Swizz and Timbaland announced the series would be aired exclusively on Apple Music. According to the two, the battle broke the all-time Apple Music livestream record.

On Instagram, the battle drew over 525,000 concurrent viewers. Altogether, 2,000,000 viewers watched the event. On Apple Music, the battle drew over 600,000 concurrent viewers at its peak. In all, over 1,400,000 viewers tuned in.

The two rappers have three RIAA-certified platinum albums and three gold albums between them. In his career, Rick Ross has appeared on 13 platinum singles. 2010's "Aston Martin Music" with Drake and Chrisette Michele, went two times platinum. DJ Khaled's 2010 mega-hit "All I Do is Win" hit three times platinum.

On the other hand, 2 Chainz has released or been featured on twelve certified platinum records in the post-Disturbing the Peace period of his career. In 2012 alone, he appeared on four. He had three on his platinum debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story. "No Lie" featuring Drake, "Birthday Song" featuring Kanye West, and "I'm Different" each went two times platinum.
