The cause of death is still unclear.
Nick Gordon, the ex-partner of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown who was found liable in her death, has passed. He was 30-years-old.
According to the Associated Press, Joe S. Habachy, Gordon’s attorney, confirmed the death in a statement, but did not specify a cause or a location. Gordon’s death arrives nearly five years since the death of Brown, who died after a six-month coma caused by a reported “toxic cocktail” of cocaine, morphine, alcohol and an assortment of prescription drugs. In a horrifying coincidence, Brown was discovered face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub, mirroring the circumstances surrounding the death of her mother, the late Whitney Houston.
Gordon was never charged in the death of Brown, but in a subsequent wrongful death suit, he was accused of administering the combination of substances in Brown’s system and was ordered to pay $36 million to her estate by an Atlanta judge.
Their relationship was mired in controversy from the get. Gordon was brought in to Houston’s home as a 12-year-old orphan and was raised with Brown by the late icon. They went public with their relationship in the months following her death.
