N.O.R.E. Apologizes For Ye's 'Drink Champs' Episode, Scrubs Episode From the Internet

N.O.R.E. called in to The Breakfast Club to speak his piece on Ye's recent controversial Drink Champs appearance.

N.O.R.E. is owning up to Ye's appearance on Drink Champs. On Monday (October 17) the rapper and podcast host called into The Breakfast Club  to apologize and give his take on the wild interview, which has since been removed from YouTube and REVOLT. According to the former Capone-n-Noreaga member, he didn't want to have "a Birdman moment" and said that he, co-host DJ EFN and Ye were inebriated well into the conversation.

While condemning some of Ye's views, N.O.R.E. also mentioned that Ye's comments were "hurtful" to the family of George Floyd, who Ye alleged died from fentanyl instead of being suffocated to death by a police officer in 2020.

“I just wanna be honest, I support freedom of speech,” N.O.R.E. said. “I support anybody, you know, not being censored. But I do not support anybody being hurt. I did not realize that the George Floyd statements on my show was so hurtful. And you gotta realize, it was the first five minutes of the show When he walked in, he told my producer, he said that if he’ll stop filming, he’ll walk out.” Along with calling into The Breakfast Club, the Queens-raised rapper made an appearance on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning on Monday to clear the air on Ye's erratic comments.

After the Drink Champs interview was posted, the "Nothin'" rapper tweeted his enthusiasm about Ye returning to the show, later apologizing when he saw online backlash.

On Monday, rapper and Ye's longtime friend Consequence confirmed that the Drink Champs interview was pulled offline, tweeting a screenshot of a text conversation with N.O.R.E.

Along with calling into The Breakfast Club, the Queens-raised rapper made an appearance on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning on Monday to clear the air on Ye's erratic comments.
