Blige has signed up to star in a new movie called Body Cam. According to Billboard, the movie is a horror/thriller about LAPD police officers who are haunted by the ghost of a black kid who was killed by white cops. Blige will play an officer who is investigating the shooting. (In the movie the body cam footage is destroyed by the officers in a cover-up attempt.)

The movie, which will be directed by Malik Vitthal, is being described by Billboard as a mix between  Get Out and End of Watch. (Warning: all quirky-sounding horror movies starring black people will be compared to Get Out from here on out.)

Blige is also set to star in the Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy. That show is expected to drop in 2019.
