Google Taps Prince Paul For Hip-Hop Anniversary Doodle

The legend will provide a score to Google's hip-hop anniversary doodle

Tomorrow, August 11th, seems to be a mutually agreed upon day that marks the moment hip-hop was founded. The day DJ Kool Herc stretched the sweetspot on a piece of wax by doubling-up on the hardware, because, as 9th Wonder put it "you always need two copies."

In celebration of the culture's 44th anniversary, Google will be dedicating one of its doodles. For 48 hours, the ever-changing homepage logo will be adorned with a crate of records and a turntable. Should you choose to click, a selection of three unreleased instrumentals from the legendary Prince Paulwill bless the moment and toast to 44 years strong.
