The Rick and Morty soundtrack is finally getting the vinyl release it deserves

While there's no word on when we can expect a follow-up to an acclaimed third season, Rick and Morty fans can rejoice in the show's soundtrack finally seeing an official release.

Today, Adult Swim has announced the OST will arrive on CD, cassette, and vinyl, on September 28th via Sub Pop Records. The release will feature Ryan Elder's complete score, as well as songs by Mazzy Star, Belly, Chaos Chaos, Blonde Redhead and two new pieces from clipping, inspired by the show. The deluxe edition of the vinyl is slated for a November 23rd release, pressed to a "portal" color vinyl and housed in a box with a plexiglass window that illuminates an etching with built-in LED lights. It includes a custom poster, patch, sticker, and 7-inch single.

Earlier this week, the show secured its first Emmy nomination for an episode that centers on its interdimensional lead dodging family therapy by transforming into a sentient (and deadly) pickle.
