U.S. fans who are bummed about Bad Bunny not including the States as part of his forthcoming world tour are in luck — if they’re fortunate enough to hit up the biggest sporting event of the year. On Sunday night (Sept. 28), the NFL announced that the 31-year-old will be headlining the 2026 Super Bowl in Santa Clara, CA Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8, 2026.
In a special promo video released along with the announcement, the camera begins zoomed in on Bad Bunny before it pans out and viewers can see him sitting atop a field goal post as the camera pans out. It’s a simple, but effective way to let loose some good news.
This announcement arrives weeks after Bad Bunny explained some of his reasoning for leaving the U.S. out of his tour plans. Speaking to iD. Magazine, he cited the potential presence of I.C.E. being a primary concern.
“But specifically, for a residency here in Puerto Rico, when we are an unincorporated territory of the U.S.,” he added, “People from the U.S. could come here to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world. But there was the issue of — like, f------ I.C.E. could be outside (my concert). And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”
