Wale Returns With Remix Of Ed Sheeran’s "Shape of You"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Wale is back with a remix of English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran's hit song "Shape of You." Wale has dropped a few tracks as of late. There was "Groundhog Day," "Folarin Like," and the remix of D’Angelo's "Lady" called "Black Is Gold." Sheeran’s new album ÷ will be arriving on March 3rd. Sheeran’s last album was 2014’s x while his debut album + was released back in 2011. A few weeks back Sheeran told a fascinating story about Eminem and Kendrick Lamar while on the Zach Sang Show. The story, which was told to the English singer by Rick Rubin, recounts how Eminem tested Kendrick to make sure he didn't use ghostwriters. Sheeran remarked:

“He arrived and Kendrick came with all his mates and Eminem said, ‘I just want you in the studio, just you on your own and then my engineer is gonna come in and then record you doing it, but your mates aren’t allowed in.’ And then, Kendrick did it and wrote a sick verse. And then everyone came in to listen to it and Eminem said that he did it to test Kendrick because he thought he had a ghostwriter. And, he then realized that he didn’t, and then claimed he was the best, which is kinda cool I think.”
