Rockstar Games' sprawling Grand Theft Auto V is still bringing us fresh content. On Tuesday, the game updated its playlists, including Flylo FM, the fictional station programmed by Flying Lotus. Flylo's new mix includes a new track from him featuring the one and only MF DOOM. Stream the new track, "Lunch Break," below.
GTAV's ever-expanding universe now features a new in-game club and radio station called The Music Locker. The space will feature rotating DJ sets from Moodymann, Keinemusik and Palms Trax. Shortly after the new track's release, Flylo clarified that "Lunch Break" also features production contributions from Thundercat and Dorian Concept.
The two previously collaborated on "Masquatch," which was also featured on Flylo FM, back in 2014. The new playlist also comes with music from J Dilla, Thundercat, Freddie Gibbs, Channel Tres and Shabazz Palaces. Other unreleased tracks in the Flylo playlist include a new Tierra Whack track titled "Arrogant," and an updated version of Flylo and Denzel Curry's 2019 track "Black Balloons Reprise."
It's been a quietly productive year from MF DOOM. Last week, he and BADBADNOTGOOD teamed up for "The Chocolate Conquistadors." That track also appears in the new Grand Theft Auto update. Back in July, DOOM joined Irish MC Rejjie Snow and Chicago producer Cam O'bi for "Cookie Chips." In October, he launched an official line of masks, shirts, and other merchandise. The new round of gear comes on the heels of DOOM's augmented reality mask auction.
