Eminem and Joyner Lucas made the news yet again on Thursday.
The current controversy stems from a leaked song called "What if I was Gay" that originally appeared on Reddit. They intended to write from the perspective of conflicted teens growing up in a conservative setting. Lucas' verses explore feelings of cognitive dissonance and shame. Eminem's contribution is from the perspective of Lucas' childhood friend, who Lucas comes out to.
According to posters on Eminem's subreddit, the song was intended to be on the rapper's upcoming Relapse 2 album. The poster attaches a link to a video of Lucas discussing the collaboration on Instagram Live with Jaden Smith.
