Shabazz Palaces Drop A Chilling Clip For "#CAKE"

Shabazz Palacesunleash some stirring new visuals for their single "#CAKE" off the just-released Lese Majesty LP. A brooding specimen of frequency, "#CAKE" finds its abrasive metallic tones played to the aesthetic treatment of dark and industrial urban landscape, following one subject's chase. For what, we can't be sure. Imposing images of larger than life women and cavernous warehouse spaces compliment some of the Seattle's crew most accessible sonics to date, drawing to mind the cosmic wizardry of Sun-Ra or just a lucid, halfway pleasurable nightmare.

Lese Majesty has played host to an impressive roster of new sights and sounds from the Seattle-based duo, gifting us with dynamic audiovisual experiences, including (but certainly not limited to) "They Come In Gold," "Dawn In Luxor," and "Forerunner Foray." The fellas are also enjoying some time on the road, hitting Philly tonight and BK's seismic Afro-Punk Fest tomorrow, sharing a stage with SZA, The Internet, Bad Brains and literally the entire spectrum of afro-futuristic purveyors of sound. Lese Majesty is out now on Sub Pop and can be copped via iTunes today. Have your "#CAKE" and eat it too. Watch the latest video from Shabazz Palaces below.
