Flying Lotus Will Curate A Canadian Music Festival This Summer

While much of the last year in Flying Lotus happenings has revolved around the eccentric do-it-all's new film Kuso, it appears he'll soon be back on the music festival circuit. This time, as curator for Sled Island Music & Arts Festival in Calgary, Alberta. The Brainfeeder head will perform, of course, but according to the festival's site, he'll also design the the full programming for the late-June festival.

No acts outside of the guest curator has been announced yet (due in February,) but there's no shortage draw from, as Thundercat, George Clinton, Earl Sweatshirt and more of FlyLo's recent and former collaborators ready their 2017 projects. Who knows, we might even get a film portion to accompany. Passes for Sled Island are on-sale now, even with no line-up. But our guess is you can purchase your stubs with confidence knowing Flying Lotus is on the job. His film Kuso is slated for a Sundance debut this weekend and next. Hopefully a follow-up to 2014's You're Dead! isn't too far down the line (with or without the newly-revealed Anderson .Paak collaboration.) He'll also perform at Victoria Park in London this summer on June 3rd.
