Chic, The Meters, Hall & Oates, N.W.A., Nirvana & L.L. Cool J. Amongst 2014 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees
Chic, The Meters, Hall & Oates and a host of other iconic acts are amongst the 16 nominees up for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2014. The list of heavyweights also includes grunge titans Nirvana alongside KISS, Cat Stevens, Peter Gabriel, L.L. Cool J and N.W.A. While those names are nothing to sniff at, this list makes for stiff competition with over six decades of groundbreaking musical history and experience amongst the nominees. Voting for the 2014 class of inductees will be open to the public by way of a fan ballot that will be tallied with the 600 secret ballots from the hall of fame's voting body - a group of music industry insiders and previous inductees. The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held in New York in April and broadcast to the public via HBO. Judging just a few of the names on the list of nominees makes it obvious that this is going to be a big year, no matter who makes the cut. Check the full list of nominees below.
