Cocaine 80s, the RnB project chaperoned by producer-turned-VP No I.D. is back with a back-to-back-to-back series of tunes that they released over the past three days. We hear some intruigingly different touches on each of these, although there's usually some kind of guitar and some kind of James Fauntleroy involved. "This Can't Be a Crime" is the broadest in the scope, layering both amped an un-amped riffs over someone's committed attempt to be Mr. Tambourine Man, while "Take My Keys" is a sparse acoustic ballad. "Queen to Be" squeezes in right in the middle as the most Weeknd-ish composition with its slight trace of eeriness.
