Albums We’re Excited For in February

J. Cole to Jill Scott, this month features some high profile releases from artists who have kept us waiting a while.

February is a month of love and there’s a lot to love over the next month when it comes to music releases. February also means that the first quarter is in full swing–and there's a lot to be excited for this month. Big names like Jill Scott, Bruno Mars and J. Cole are dropping albums after extended time away, and fans are understandably excited. 

But it's not just the big stars that have us geeked for what's coming out this month. Some really hot (relative) newcomers are dropping debut albums that are more than just promising. Ms. Banks and TianaMajor9 are ready for their close up. 

So we've got a great mix of legends and upstarts this month! We picked a few of our favorite upcoming releases to show you the Albums We're Excited For In February. 

Ella Mai - Do You Still Love Me? 

Release Date: Feb. 6

With Grammy-winner Mustard handling production duties, the acclaimed singer-songwriter returns with her third album. She’s indicated that the project is an intimate peek into her life–and a soulful journey through love from various points of view.

J. Cole - The Fall-Off

Release Date:  Feb. 6

Cole fans are excited to hear the long-awaited seventh (and allegedly final) album from the emcee out of Fayetteville. It's a project that Cole has offered teases and snippets for over the past eight years–and it comes five years after The Off-Season

Jill Scott - To Whom This May Concern 

Release Date:  Feb. 13

It’s been more than ten years since Jilly From Philly has delivered a studio album, and the buzz around this one has been building steadily since the project was announced in late 2025. With production from luminaries like DJ Premier, and guest features from Ab-Soul, JID, Tierra Whack, Too $hort and more. 

Ms. Banks - SOUTH LDN LOVER GIRL

Release Date: Feb. 13

She announced her debut back in December, and the British singer has said that the project is an ode to Black women; and that she wanted to make a project that encapsulated the experience of growing up as a Black woman in the United Kingdom.

Tiana Major9 - November Scorpio

Release Date: Feb. 13

The 28 year old out of East London’s debut album promises to be a musical journey through love, growth, and self-discovery. She’s showcased her signature sound on previously released singles like “Money” and “Shook One:” a confident blend of jazz, soul, and R&B--with a fresh, modern vibe.

Moonchild - WAVES

Release Date:  Feb. 20

The sixth studio album by the neo-soul group boasts features from Jill Scott and Rapsody, and the GRAMMY-nominated trio of Amber Navran, Andris Mattson, and Max Bryk have announced that they are set to hit the road on their WAVES Tour starting in March.

Bruno Mars - The Romantic

Release Date: Feb. 27

The Grammy winning superstar is delivering his long-awaited fourth studio album, and it comes a whopping ten years since 24K Magic became a phenomenon back in 2016. If lead single “I Just Might” is any indication, he may have another monster project on his hands.
