If you read Okayplayer regular, y’all know we have been fiending for this new LP from the Robert Glasper Experiment since LAST SUMMER–and it’s finally here! To mark this special, special day, Okayplayer is proud to premiere the stratospheric lyrics video for the lead single and title track off the album Black Radio, featuring none other than Okayplayer-for-life Yasiin Bey on the brilliant guest verse (let’s be honest. Most lyrics that get lyrics video are a waste of pixel-power, but if there is one person whose words you WANT to follow along with while you nod your head, it’s Bey (“Bey…Bey…Bey…“). On the other hand, if you are the type of person who cannot enjoy music without faces and other images to look at, enjoy these exclusive pics of Glasper and crew like ATCQ’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and legendary producer/president of Blue Note Don Was (after the jump). And most importantly, go cop Black Radio –which also features Erykah Badu, Lupe Fiasco, Lalah Hathaway, Shafiq Husayn, Ledisi and Meshell Ndegeocello. Me too Crystal. I am so excited. His entire catalog of music is great. I am sitting here listening to F.T.B. as I type. But his current project is simply amazing. Enjoy the show!

  • great video, but i couldn’t help but notice that the text said “BAY” instead of “BEY” (leader) when yasiin was shouting it. weird oversight since his new alias is yasiin bey. it’s right in the title.

I was confused by that aswell, maybe he just meansta bay, it’s possible but I doesnt make any sense to me. It could aswell be that this was made when he was still Mos ’cause it also said ‘you are rocking with the DEF’ as a play on Mos Def?
