Video: Chris Dave X Big Sean, Portishead + More
In case this exclusive footage of Chris "Daddy" Dave tearing up Copenhagen on tour with D'Angelo was not enough to wow you, videos of several other artists getting murkified by Dave's 'drum covers' of their compositions have beaned us in the head lately. First there is his drum cover of Big Sean's "Ass" (that doesn't sound right when I read it out loud, but you know what I mean if you watch below). Then there is this whole medley of him beating Portishead AND Bob James' "Nautilus" into submission without even stopping to reload (above). Lastly--and most appropriately Revivalist put us up on this 6-minute clip of him riffing on Dilla's "Fall in Love" beat. Starting to undertsand why ?uestlovedescribed dude as "my worst nightmare."
