Throwback Thursday: Common Live In Munich, Ca. 2003

Not like we ever forgot, but Common's commanding stage presence at the Welcome America 4th of July Jam in Philly last night had us reminiscing on one of the illest live performers in rap. Couldn't ask for a better example than this concert from Germany circa 2003, touring with his band A Black Girl Named Becky (supertuff Karriem Riggins on the drums!) in support of the Dilla-driven Electric Circus LP. That's the one that went too deep (or maybe too far left) for a some of Com's stateside fans but is considered his greatest work by a lot of musical connoisseurs--including our guy Randy Bayers at FunkIt Blog, who posted these gems last week.
