With all of the craze surrounding the inclusion of Black Panther in the forthcoming Captain America film sequel, it's easy to forget that the written portion of T'Challa's tale has been in the process of being rebooted by the exemplary pen of one, Ta-Nehisi Coates, for some time now.
And while there was no initial timeline for the unveiling of the Coates edition of Black Panther, the acclaimed writer has shared an extensive preview of the first issue via The Atlantic, which means it may be that much closer to hitting stands in the months ahead. In a lengthy spread, Coates delves into his passion for the comic book squares and how it sparked an early interest in writing as a child (something that has clearly stood with him throughout his life.)
