Okayplayer/sister-for-life Solange Knowles is set to release her True EP on November 27. True will mark the artist’s third record, which is finally coming to us after the 4 years since Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams. Patience is a virtue, and surely one that cannot escape us now as we wait two more weeks for the EP to drop. Apparently, though, Solange couldn’t wait for us to hear what she’s been working on with artist/producer Devonte Hayes (or Blood Orange) either (thank baby Jesus!) The single and video “Losing You” wasn’t enough to sway the anticipation, she understands, so she’s released snippets for the seven songs on the tracklist. And boys and girls, it is good! A wave of nostalgia has been sweeping over music nowadays — Solange’s music no less. But rather than rerelease an album or dig into her vault like some artists are doing, Solange has dipped into the ’80s/early ’90s for this sweet pop/soul sound compilation. As I suggested after seeing the tracklisting and album art last month, this album is going to be sexy. If “Lovers in the Parking Lot” is the snippet I think it is (they don’t play in order), that’s gonna be my midnight jam!

True will be available on Amazon when it drops. Use the tracklist (after the jump) to figure out which of the 30-second snippets is your favorite.
