Snoop Lion throws a world party for peace with the former rapper’s new single “No Guns Allowed” from his forthcoming reggae debut Reincarnated. The track is a condemnation of gun violence that features Toronto MC Drake and the super irie electro-dub production of Major Lazer. The sweet sounding voice peppering the hook is Snoop’s daughter Cori B. on backing vocals. Bringing the production home Drake drops a heartfelt critique of the gun control issue. His verse encapsulating a very personal loss for his hometown of Toronto after gun violence at a block party took two lives and wounded several others this past summer. Drake ends with a call for leaders and locals to do more to stop the violence. Snoop’s Reincarnated LP is scheduled to drop on April 23rd. The accompanying film of the same name is showing in select theaters now.

sorry but Snoop Lion’s a joke. This is not an album that celebrates Rastafarianism, it more or less celebrates Snoop’s justification to smoke a lot of weed and bounce back from falling off the radio airwaves. Had to say it
