Roberta Flack X The Beatles - Let It Be [LP Stream]
Speaking of epic soul comebacks, R&B legend Roberta "Killing Them Softly" Flack has released her new album covering various tunes by The Beatles via the interTunes and now we can sample the whole thing via this interactive youtube jawn (above) which allows you to jump around and hear snippets of every track. As might be expected with soul covers of a powerhouse pop act like The Beatles, some of these are a little adult contempo for my taste but "Hey Jude" (stream in full below) is exactly what you'd want from a Flack 5 mashup and "Come Together" (after the jump) is an unexpectedly grimey piece of funk-rock also. get in where you fit and purchase via the iTunes.
