Raekwon x The Roots "Incarcerated Scarfaces" Live at the Okayplayer Holiday Jam 2013

Raekwon and The Roots tore the roof off of Brooklyn Bowl at the 7th Annual Okayplayer Holiday Jam with a blazing performance of “Incarcerated Scarfaces” – the timeless joint from Rae’s 1995 solo debut LP Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Black Thought and Raekwon took the stage to help cap an evening of monumental performances at the annual fete brought to you by our friends at The House Of Marley and Heineken. The evening included sets from Sufjan Stevens, Big Daddy Kane, Bilal, J. Period, Valerie June, Donn T, Mozaic Flow, Mr. Vegas and more. The crowd – a bottomless pit of unbridled energy and absolute love – cranked it into high gear as the Wu general took the stage to run through a few Shaolin classics “You know I can’t come in here and just do like one or two joints, man…” Rae told the crowd “I love microphones. Mics is my shit.” We couldn’ta said it better. Check the footage below to connect, politic, ditto and relive the moment…or get your first taste of the party live and direct from Okayplayer TV. Stay tuned for more from the 2013 Okayplayer Holiday Jam.
