Chimurenga Renaissance drops an experimental heater with “The B.A.D. Is So Good”, the first drop off their upcoming LP riZe vadZimu riZe. The group is composed of Baba Maraire and Palaceer Lazaro of Shabazz Palaces with the addition of Hussein Kalonji lending a hand on production. Coming from Seattle’s alt-rap kings, this one’s markedly more melodic and vastly more fluid than most of what we’ve heard from that Pacific Northwest tandem. By their name alone, one can assume that they’re looking to shake ish up, but a deeper look into the rawness of their sonics unveils they’re devotion to the dirt. Head over to Okayafrica for the full scoop and the drop.
