OKP Premiere: Watch Myke Bogan's Trippy New Video "Aye Aye"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

For this evening’s OKP premiere we get up with Portland/LA rapper Myke Bogan. Earlier this summer, the West Coast lyricist dropped his latest mixtape, Casino Carpet. Today, we get the visuals for track #2 “Aye Aye.” Live from Slab City, CA we get these glitchy visuals shot at an abandoned WWII site. Real trippy shit, let Myke breakdown the song’s meaning for you, below. You can download Bogan's Casino Carpet tape here.

The song is about constantly trying to be the best person you can at all times while still living life to the fullest. I wrote this song after a huge argument I had with a close friend about religion, I told her that I think life is about being the best person you can and also making the best out of every opportunity and experience whether that be drugs or church or anything that makes you happy...it's kinda like when Bob Marley said, 'my riches is life.'
